Speedmaster First in Space pays tribute to the historic chronograph worn by astronaut Walter Schirra during the Mercury Sigma 7 mission in 1962. Faithfully inspired by the original CK2998, this contemporary edition preserves the timeless proportions and vintage character that made the Speedmaster an icon of space exploration.

Its symmetrical stainless-steel case, deep grey dial and classic black aluminium tachymeter bezel create a refined yet purposeful aesthetic. The First in Space is powered by the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861, a manually wound chronograph movement that represents the latest evolution of the legendary Moonwatch calibre.

Certified by METAS, the movement features Co-Axial escapement, silicon balance spring and free-sprung balance, offering exceptional precision, resistance to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss and a power reserve of approximately 50 hours. The beautifully finished movement can be admired through the sapphire crystal caseback.
