The Speedmaster Apollo 8 is powered by the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3869, an advanced manually wound chronograph movement derived from the legendary Moonwatch calibre.

Certified as a Master Chronometer by METAS, it incorporates Co-Axial escapement, silicon balance spring and free-sprung balance for outstanding precision, reliability and resistance to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss. Both sides of the movement are laser-engraved to reproduce the near and far sides of the Moon, creating one of the most visually impressive calibres ever produced.
